About Us

We are a leading boutique legal practice in the media & entertainment,  innovation & technology, communications & leisure sectors.

Since 2004 Digby Law has provided legal, commercial and strategic advice to people and businesses whose core assets are their intellectual property rights, irrespective of the industry in which they operate.

We have a very specialised focus, and offer true and deep expertise.

This focus is a little wider than other entertainment firms, in that our clients not only come from the traditional areas of music, film, theatre and television, but also from advertising and communications, as well as fashion, visual arts and design, sport, and events and, in particular, food and leisure, acting for leading talent and celebrities. We also have a deep expertise in dealing with innovations and technology businesses, in the their start up, scale-up and ongoing growth, especially in media-tech, and agri-tech sectors.

We are wholly engaged with our clients and committed to helping them in their protection, growth and to achieve their goals.

When I first started Digby law in 2004, I had a unique opportunity to create a culture that truly reflected why I enjoyed being a lawyer. As a starting point I wrote down on separate pieces of paper what I saw were the key ingredients. One piece of paper always came up at the top of the pile – “ENGAGEMENT”. This became the guiding principle of how I set up the firm and how we approached our work from then on. As time went on, I was fortunate to be joined by people who totally understood what this means – engaging with our clients and what they do; finding out what are their aims, working with them towards their goals; and being committed to doing our utmost to achieving the best possible outcomes. To me, Digby Law continues to offer:-

  • Specialist Experience
  • Quality Skills
  • Creatively - Finding solutions - Adding and delivering Value - Helping clients grow and prosper
  • Delivered with - Warmth and personality - Speed and integrity - Enjoyment and respect
I am very proud of what we and our clients have achieved so far, and look forward to continuing to do this even more the future.

Chantelle Yeung

Chantelle Yeung

Solicitor

I have always been passionate about the creative arts and enthusiastic about its place in our daily lives. After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws/Media and Communications from the University of Sydney in 2019, I am now lucky to combine this passion with work as a Digby Law solicitor! Over time I hope to become a trusted legal advisor to those in the arts, entertainment and media industries. Outside of the office, you can probably find me cooking (or eating) something delicious, or reading a good book.
